Everyone, remember this: there are TWO different Nooks. The nook Color is back lit, like a computer screen or phone. The nook Classic is NOT. Its just like the Kindle, in that you need a light source to read by, because it has the eInk screen ( LOVE my nook classic!!!! Love to borrow from the library,--can't do that with a kindle-- I have about 350 books on it currently, and have scads more room, plus the nook has a slot for an SD card and the Kindle does not!)
You can also buy books from sources other than BN for the nook (but not from Amazon) and with the Kindle you can buy just from AMazon..
What ever you choos,e just remember to make it a lovely carrier!
