I guess that I am surprised that this is called "vellum". Shows you how much I know! I have used the thin paper made for PP, which may be printed on. I scanned my design and printed it out rather than hand drawing each page etc. I also learned on this site to use a very small stitch so that the paper tears more easily. Good luck.
