super.... although i look at these old singers with fond memories... it's probably not the same one, but most of what i see here is like the old 201 that i used for years!!!!
as a young girl (and i mean young...started at 14yrs), i worked in a yarn shop... we did "finsih work" on customers sweaters... many wanted machine buttonholes,,, i did thousands!!! too funny.... we would "crochet front", hand sew grosgrain ribbon... then i would make "machine buttonholes" with the old "grist" attachment... the bottom teeth on that "puppy" are sharp and to get the sweater front under the presserfoot... we used "folded WAX PAPER" to slide it ... LOL.. then things got really easy when we discovered the clear plastic heavy vinyl!!! sorry to bore you girls, but could not resist sharing... those were the good old days.. oh, BTW... we got 25cents a buttonhole and $1.00 to sew on the ribbon!!!! IMAGINE!!!!
