On New Years day I went shopping and bought about 50 yards of fabrics. Most of the pieces were large enough for backs for quilts. I went back twice today. I got several pieces of 15 yards+ and lots of backs and a couple of fat quarters. In all today I spent $315.32 and acquired 171.6 Yards and 8 fat quarters. All the yardage pieces were $1.69 a yard (same as Thursday) and the fat quarters were all 50 cents each. So in the last 2 days I purchased about 225 yards of fabric. I think I have a problem. The store where I bought all this regularly has a huge sale for New Years and 3 more holidays during the year with prices from $1 (a couple years ago) to $2.29 a yard. Unfortunately I got an e-mail today saying that the store is closing and starting monday everything in the store is 40% off. The people who own the shop are retiring and have tried to sell the store as a fabric store since 1993! They just sold the building last week and have to be out by the end of March.
