I had done this quilt some time ago and prepared it with spray basting on a very thick wadding (polyester) I think. Every time I lifted it to try and stitch in ditch it seemed so bulky I thought it would never go through the machine. I have tried it today and just done two row of stitchng on the sashing and only have to finish with binding. It has so many old fabrics in it that it brought back many memories and although not perfect I just love it. Is it Grandmothers Garden?
