I have had good luck finding vintage blocks like yours though I have never gotten them at such an amazing price! I have one set of the Dresden Plates with red centers. One set of hex shaped blocks that are pieced in large diamond shapes. And another set of four point stars that are meant to be pieced with curved insets. Funny, I just had them all out to look at last evening. Many of the original cardboard templates were in the box with quilt sets. I know that the maker had planned to border all the hex pieces in a white hex background as there are scraps of white fabric in the box and one block has the white hex's already sewn on to the outer edge on one of the diamond pieced blocks. I will follow suit.
