Yes that is true, you can use the textile medium for washing. With the art quilts in that class we were just messing around knowing we were not going to wash them. We are going to try snow dyeing soon for this class, I will have to post pics when we are done.

If you add textile medium to the acrylic paint (not water) you will be able to wash the piece. You just need to let it dry then iron on the wrong side to set it. My avatar is painted with acrylic paint.
