Hello Ladies and Gents:
I am in need of some ideas, here's the story:
Two years ago a friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had both breasts removed and a series of chemo treatments. Last month she went for a check-up and the cancer has moved to her liver. The doctors went in a removed a large mass, however, they found more and could not remove it. She was told she has 6 months to a 5 year life span. She is married and has two little girls, 7 and 8 years old. I would like to make her a memory quilt so when she feels down and out she can at least snuggle with a smile. I have ask her husband for some photos but have not received them yet. Am I wrong for wanting to do this? We are having a benefit for the family April 16th and I have made a couple of wall quilts. We will have a silent auction as well as a live auction. Last time I made quilts for a benefit they sold for $250.00 each. Any ideas on this subject? I really am lost at this point and love family so much. The benefit will be held at the American Legion Post 489 in Peck Michigan if interested in coming out.
Please send some input my way!!
