Just put a piece of tape across the corner of one of your rulers at the right number. Example: if you need 2 inch FINISHED blocks put your tape from 2 inch to 2 inch mark, but make sure your tape EDGE is on the 2 inch and the body of your tape is toward your 3 inch mark.
