I joined my first quilt guild two yrs ago, and haven't regretted it for a second. Our guild is small, about 35 members, and we've become very close. These ladies have become like sisters and mothers and daughters to me. I truly love them. We meet weekly. One or two meetings per month devoted to community service. We make charity quilts, chemo caps and turbans, port pillows and arm pillows for mastectomy patients. One week is education. We have lots of wonderful classes. One week is our business meeting and one week is work on whatever project you want. Love it! Tomorrow is my guild day and we are making a table topper with scalloped edges. Fun.
