When my boys were growing up, I kept my Ginghers hidden except when I was using them on fabric. Those scissors are about 25 years old, and still very sharp. Just a couple of weeks ago, my DH got me a new pair of Ginghers with the spring-open feature. I don't think he'll borrow them, since he knows how much they cost.
