hey, I have this machine as well! Don't take it to classes because I have the Janome, but they feet are interchangeable between this machine and the Janome as well!
I have the Elna 6003...my walking foot [came with the machine] does not fit on the Janome Gem2. We must have different models.
I can not start a project on the J Gem2 and expect to have a great outcome with the Elna. The 1/4" foot/needle position is not compatible. Anyway, that is my experience.
So I have to make the decision: will the class be for "technique" (J G2) or a time invested project (the Elna).

I have the Janome Gem Platinum. My 1/4" foot from my Elna fits it fine! As does the walking foot!
