I have been asked a lot of private questions about these landscapes and as a result took some up close and personal pictures of the donkey wall hanging. I will try to take some of the mystery factor out of it. This is not difficult to do, IT IS FUN ! I love it and now see fabric in a whole new light. No I do not go around each piece, this would take a lifetime and be very frustrating. It is hard to see unless you see it in person but there is a lot of layers . I glued each piece unless it is a big pieces like the donkey and trees that are fused. I used soft fuse, I like it the best, but pellon 805 works too and is less expensive. I start with something I like or think about such as a focal point. Then I just think about what I would see on that walk with my donkey. Did you notice there are bunnies, butterflies ( one following the children is in blue ) flowers growing randomly at the road side. Rocks along the path, some of the bushes are the back side of the same fabric as I used for some of the bushes, be creative, break rules and have fun.

The hill of wildflowers on the left is layers of the same fabric cut in clumps and pasted down.
If you don't like how something looks DO NOT TRY AND LIFT IT OFF. Glue ( glue sticks ) something else on top;)> DO not agonize for long periods of time as to what should I put in it. Just let it flow I have said it took two hours to do this donkey hanging. IT is about 24 x 16. The machine stippling and binding of course took more time. I urge you to at least try this if you are at all interested and please post your creation. When you glue use a piece of batting on your table to glue onto it provides a cushion and makes it easier to apply glue. Go to the edges don't worry about extra glue it dries and is unseen. Can't wait to see how you do !!
