The nature of the technique. I think it was Judy Mathieson (she of Mariner's Compass fame) who used it in her second MC book.
But like all the methods mentioned in this thread, there are tradeoffs (also all mentioned above).
Which do you value more?

Time
Ability to Print
Transparency
Availability of foundation
Ease of removal
And then you can make your choice between vellum, tracing paper, copy paper, newsprint, freezer paper, Carol Doak's paper, doctor's office exam paper, etc.
