And so the story goes, I was at quilt retreat last weekend and one of the gals has been carrying a quilt project around in her chair for at least 8 years! The block was named after a bird...although it is pieced. Over the years she referred to it as her flippin bird project. I suggested we choose a project we have that we'll never finish because we are soooo over it and pass it around with each person adding their take on the project. The projects would by no means look like they were originally intended but you would take the pieces and make up a row or border, any fabric would be passed with it or you could add some of your own...well for the first pass...I ended up with the Flippin' Birds....I must have done something wrong in my previous quilt life!
