I think the only dangerous thing with the "chinese" bee pollen your friend is talking about is that she may be taking this:
http://www.amazon.com/Zi-Xiu-Tang-60...7813941&sr=8-1 which is a Chinese product containing Bee Pollen. However, several of the ingredients are various types of laxatives so it is probably good for weight loss but not necessarily healthy compared to just bee pollen.
