You know what, I had the same thought this morning. I also have a photo, ONE photo of his grandma on his other side, quilting by using an old wooden frame. It's going to get framed too
They lived in a town called Shrewsbury, which was their last name, in WV. Coal miners. That photo is priceless. Funny story: they used to make moonshine, and had lots of kids, so when one of them saw the revenooers coming, they had a series of whistles they whistled up the mountains, to let Ma, who was quite heavy, know to sit of the boxes of moonshine. By sitting on them, she hid them!

Someday my husband is not going to be embarased by these stories, he'll see their value as proof of the hard life his ancestors had
