I made a design wall out of a $3 flannel-ish backed vinyl tablecloth from Wally-World.
By sewing a pocket across the top, I was able to hang it from a tension-rod suspended between my sewing room (former formal living room) & formal dining room.

When I'm not using it, I draw the design wall curtain to the side and voila! Out of the way!
