yes. you can definitely go just to see the quilts. depending on how closely you examine them, that should take AT LEAST the whole morning, one coffee break (no lunch) and most of the afternoon. if you want to see the venders also, well...... . if you push for one day i don't know that 3 hours each way is worth the time you'd have to spend. i think they close at 6. check that. i've loved it, but i committed to 2 days with a friend. with the wristband you can return as many times as you like. i don't believe there are any cheap motels too near the convention center.
