I think that I'd have hidden cameras put in my room. And update my Karate lessons!! Luckily most of my family, a large family, either do now or did wear badges, but for those who don't, this could be a nightmare.
Anyone who hears of this should report it to the management, firmly reminding them of huge, expensive law suits and bad reviews in local and state press. And follow through with it.
Thankfully, the nursing home my husband lived in for 3 years before his death was nice. I took the advice of nurses and other volunteers in the hospital and visited often, at different times of the day, never the same time of day. And never did find anything too bad, except for one sticky fingered old woman who went around removing objects from different rooms. One aide told me that about once a week they removed everything from her chest of drawers and took them back to the owners. This DH could live with.
