In my grandmother's bible there were hand written lists of births, marriages and deaths going back to 1836. Her mother was Martha Elizabeth Yarbrough, Martha's father was Elias, and it lists all the children's names and dates. I started entering all this at Ancestry.com this week and this evening someone contacted me saying that he had information on Elias, who's father was Anderson Yarbrough, AND he has census records that show all of the children and the dates all match what was in the bible.

He also has info on that line going back to James Yarbrough born in England in 1641.

I was looking at ways to put the blocks together and I saw one that has the fans appliqued onto the background square instead of set in. I was concerned about putting the curved pieces and borders on the blocks because they are not all straight. I think that I will let them be what they are and applique them. I was also thinking of embroidering all of this information onto the background fabric when it is completed... a family tree.
