This was my first attempt using bias binding. I utilized the method from the link jacquemoe posted. http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/7112.page
Thanks Jackie, it was a great learning experience.
This mitt pattern is called Fish in the Oven Mitt by Vanilla House Designs

I made the little fish (for women) pattern. I have fairly large hands, it fits, but rather snug. It will send it to my SIL she’ll love it.
I used the left over fabric from The Lighthouse Mini Quilt I made in Oct. http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/11897.page
In the main fish body I used 1 layer of insul-bright with 1 layer of quilt batting. I got the insul-bright from the Nov Fab Shop Hop $10 certificate I won at Bayside Quilting.   The other 2 pieces I used just 1 layer of insul-bright to minimize bulk.
I will try the large size next.
