I have been to Joanns and other LQS but i get more confused every time, and from my understanding the larger the repeat the more fabric i need, so i don't really like the idea of wasting 5 yards of fabric for failure :-( .
Please help...any ideas would be appreciated even pics of fabric would be great ( I am a visual person).

Stack and Whack and OBW's are both kaleidoscope patterns, but they are very different in construction. So you need to look at both patterns and choose which one you want to do. If you chose to do an OBW, you only need 2.5 yards of a fabric with a 12 inch repeat.
