I buy wool SKIRTS almost exclusively at thrift stores. I got burnt out picking out seams and darts on jackets and then having to tear off stabilizer. You get a lot of wool out of skirts and it's not hard to find them. Most 100% wool clothing items have the woolmark tag in them. I try to purchase stuff that is 70% or greater wool content. I have almost as large a stash of wool as I do cotton. There's a store in Berlin, OH Amish country you have to check out if you are ever there....It has millions of patterns, fabric in all colors...the most extensive line of good quality homespuns I have ever seen, and a whole room of glorious wools..........including hand dyed! The wool is pricy, but when I'm making a candle mat, this is where I go to get exactly the color or pattern I need. The store is Kauffman's Country Craft Cupboard. I never get out of there without buying something.
