These are what I have chosen for a quilt called stacked coins.
This is the "first" actual quilt I am making.
I have a brain injury and have only done sandwich quilts.
I am trying to get brave and step outside of the box.
What looks and is simple can be the most confusing
and complicated thing ever.

Cutting the 5x5 went ok on Accuquilt
However...working with the rotary cutter is very scary to me.
I ruined 5 squares and sat down and cried.
Got up and pushed on taking it as slow as I could...
Got all the rest cut without ruining anymore.
This is stressful to say the least.
It is hard to line up my eyesight and the rotary cutting with my brain injuries and NOT cut me.
Will post new up dates as I go along :)
I'm climbing that mountain again...uncharted territory.
the tool i've found MOST useful[i don't have an accuquilt go]is the june taylor shape cut slotted ruler.not a problem cutting myself,& always get straight cuts up to 4 [haven't tried for more]layers.
available at joanne'sor probably any lqs. well worth the money....imho

dar,
I think I have one of these somewhere...
