When we moved to the house we're living in today, we were told that the mother of the former owner lived and died in this house. We heard her quite often, talking and laughing. We live in a ranch style house, and we never changed any of the painting or wallpaper, as we liked it all. But finally, we did tire of it, after about 15 or so years, so we finally repainted, tore the wallpaper off and either painted or re-wallpapered, depending on the room, and we noticed that we didn't hear from her anymore. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that we were told that the lady who died here had been an interior decorator. She must not have felt at home here anymore after we redecorated. We've lived here 38 years, and we can honestly say we missed having her around. She never hurt us or bothered us really, but we could hear her laughing and talking in any of the rooms, not just one in particular.
