Hi Everyone,
I am from the upper portion of the state of nevada in the Reno area.
I started learning to quilt in the late 1980's, but only by hand piecing and hand quilting. It was by a video I checked out from the library. Yes it was harder then, that was before all the new tools and techniques began to revolutionize quilting, so, I have been around to see lots of changes in the quilt world.
I haven't really made quilting my main hobby until the last four years or so. To say the least, I have really enjoyed taking classes, learning new color choices and patterns.
So, here I am, wanting to talk walk and breath quilting. LoL!
I just got a machine qulting table to replace the hand quilting frame I have had many years. I am learning to do the machine quilting, so I can finish all those tops that didn't get tied or hand quilted. It is like learning all over again. What types of threads to use, what type of batting, how much quiting is needed and where. I find that I look at quilt block patterns in a very different way now.
I have joined to learn and to share with friends in the quilt world.
So, Hello Quilting Board ...... here I come!
