or... are we talking not just fabric squares but ACTUAL designed blocks.. NOT chicken fabric?
Again.. new to this.
Thanks
With the blocks being in multiples of 3 inches (plus the 1/2 inch seam allowance)it allows for a block set that is not uniform....for instance you can put together a 9by 6 block together with a 6 by 3 and a 3 by 3 and make it a 9 by 9 block by the way it is layed out...........hope that helps as to why all the blocks are not the same size..........
We are also asked to make different size blocks and not all small blocks................for instance I have made 5 blocks and I only made one set of 3 by 3 and the rest larger....
This swap requires a change to the fabric......machine applique, paper piecing, regular piecing, embroidery, fabric painting, etc.....during the thread we did talk of fabric squares but only if you want to share with others...they do not count towards the swaps but just as a way to give others some special chicken fabric........... I will be sending some 3 by 3 blocks and other sizes........
As to getting all small blocks when you do big ones.......that all comes down to Mariposa who will be doing all the sorting of blocks to be mailed back out. I'm sure she will sort the blocks fairly......
