Two years ago my sister "babysat" my dog while I was doing an artfair. Long story short, Boomie ( the same dog as in my avatar) ingested 12 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips. I got to my sister's around 8 that night (6 hours into the chip episode) and Boomie was in high distress. Drove him immediately to Univ of Minnesota Vet Emergency Clinic. They didn't think he would make it through the night with a heart beat so high from the caffeine. Left him there and was up all night. Took him home around 3:00 the next day still a little loopy but alive and kicking. I told him when I left for the night that I he had to make it through the night because I needed him so. He's always been such a good listener. Boomie - my dog with nine lines. (BTW -- Boomie's a resuce who was seriously tortured by his first family -- what a guy!) My buddy - Boomer.
