Me too, yes I have noticed the decline in the quality of fabrics (along with everything else) guess it had to happen eventually.
Manufacturers have been steadily decreasing the size of their goods such as in amounts a certain items hold while keeping the price the same or increasing the price. Hence you end up paying more for the same item and actually get less for your buck. Fabric manufacturers have more than likely decided to jump on the bandwagon and decrease their thread count etc.
I bought some Moda fabric last week and it is just awful. It has shed lint like there is going to be no tomorrow.
