Just try to stay with the same weight fabric and if possible use the same manufacturer for the whole quilt.
This is difficult to accomplish, but worth the time and effort.
Try changing the pressure foot to a lighter tension. I noticed that when I start to quilt the whole thing I loosen the foot pressure and I don't get as many puckers. So far it has helped and I now have barely any puckers.
