Worked on the memory quilt some more today. It is getting easier as I go along.
The star blocks use the flip and stitch method, so there are little waste triangles. I used an idea from Bonny Hunter and made them into little HST. When I cut them down, they were 1", and I made two little tiny shoo fly blocks, just for fun. They will finish at 1.5" square. I have an idea for a little doll quilt as a surprise for the mother of the boy I am making this memory quilt for, and I think I will work them into that, maybe with a few more tiny sampler blocks.
