I have never quilted with flannel.

I'm making a baby quilt in reds, blacks and whites.

I decided I'd better prewash because I know reds are real bad about bleeding. I rinsed all the other fabrics by hand and nothing bled.

I have one solid dark red fabric. I rinsed and rinsed in a bowl and it just wouldn't stop bleeding. I added soap and still no change, it wasn't even lightening. I decided to squirt in some Spray and Wash. WAH LAH! No more bleeding! It just stopped!

The fabrics I'm working with.
