I am using Yenmet metallic thread with Schmetz 130MET, 90/14 metallic needle, a thread stand, lowere my top tension and slowed down my machine. Problem: the thread shreds and I end up with a clump that looks like a wooly caterpiller! I've changed my needle but it's still the same. I have to keep stopping and cut the thread and rethread the needle. Anyone have any ideas? At this rate it will take me days just to get a little work done.
