Joan sent me this quilt and trusted me to quilt it however I wanted.

I decided a leaf feather border. In the sashing I put some falling type leaves that kind of remind me of a civil war era type design ( this isn't civil war..but suits the design) and then to make everything unified..I stippled in all the white background blocks....I had toyed with doing a different design in each one but thought ..that isn't really the feeling of the quilt. IN each block I just did some light block work..in one of the blocks I did get a bit "fun" (would be easy to change if the owner doesn't like)...it but I thought it was cute. The basket block ..I put a different flower in each little HST.

I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. NO pantogrpah or computer quilting...such a GEM of a quilt! Great piecing..great gal to work with...Love the comfort of this quilt!

Oh and the pieced backing..I love pieced backings..like having two quilts in one!
