We get our water from a rural water system. Our water is good but it is piped from a lake about 45 miles a way. Very expensive. There is not subsurface water around here and even if there was, the state now requires they be licensed and if you want to sell, you cannot obtain a loan on a house even in the country without an approved water supply. Big brother is busy. Didn't use to be this way.
