I have been researching different machines and even machine quilting frames and my brain is fried..lol I have tried to find local quilting/sewing centers so I could check out how the frames work and if im making a good investment but there is nothing in my area. So Im reaching out to all of you to tell me about your experiance and your recommendations. Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Dianna,

What part of S Jersey are you from? There are going to be some big (and small) quilt shows in March in Philadelphia and Somerset NJ and there will be machine vendors at these shows, as well as scores of amazing quilts to look at.

I'm in Central NJ and we have some pretty active guilds in the area. There are probably quilt guilds down by you as well...

Welcome to the board!

Hi from another "Jersey Girl". I'm in Monmouth County, biggest quilt shop around is Quilting Possibilities in Forked River, they also sell machines and should be a good place to try some out and get info, etc. Another quilt shop is Mouse Creek on Route 9 in Howell, it is an fairly new shop and also has long arm quilting machines set up.

Big quilt show in Lancaster PA mid March, great to spend a day or so there as the shops in the area have great prices for fabrics. I go with a list of what I need, always pick up lights and wide backing fabrics. May in Jersey
