you do not know that she would not appreciate it, she may absolutely love it and want to keep it with her forever. a gift of love is simply a gift...once i give a quilt it is no longer mine and i can not stress over whether or not the person who now owns it takes care of it the way i would, it is not up to me once i give it away.
