We have a community well (actually 4 of them) for 200+ homes. 2 years ago, uranium above the accepted level was found in the water, and we aren't supposed to drink, brush our teeth or cook with it - so we've been using bottled water since then. The company that owns the water system is under order from the state (CT) to fix it, but like everything else in New England, the fix is like molasses in winter, very slow. Some idiots in our community are holding up the process, because they don't like the 'fix' the rest of us chose. Smacks of politics. Meanwhile, bottled water.
