I was watching Eleanor Burns on tv one day, and she said to hook one seam against the other- I never really realized that it matters which way they are pointing. I mean I knew that they should fit together better if one seam allowance goes one way and one goes the other. But if the top one is facing toward the top, and the bottom one the other way, they fit right against each other. I stopped pinning recently after I tried this...
