------------------------Sorry, correction here. Betty McDonald wrote "The Egg and I", "The Plague and I" and "Onions in the Stew", and "Cheaper By The Dozen" was by a couple of the Gilbreth family. It and the follow up, "Belles On Their Toes" are also some of my favorites. Loved the books, liked the old movie, but absolutely hated the one with Steve Martin. It was set in modern days, which right there killed the charm of the first one.
