I have a serger but I just used the walking foot and try and put all the seams back in their original place and take a 1/2 inch seam atleast. It's slow but I have made four jackets so far. I have attached a pic of the inside pocket that I hand sewed on after the fact and the binding atleast covered the bottom seam. I have also included the back of the jacket for a reference too.
The inside looks so neat! Did you sew the strips on the fuzzy side of the original sweatshirt?
