when we bought a house for weekends/staycations, he understood that 1: I needed a sewing studio and 2: I needed a machine for the house that was the same as the one in the apartment (so I could bring the same project back and forth, of course!). He just doesn't "get" the quilts...doesn't seem to understand how they are art. I appliques a large 1957 chevy then had it framed for his office. I thought it was fabulous. so did my friends. however, all he said was "it's OK." As clients visited, they would ooh and aah over it and he would report such to me but still felt "it's ok" and didn't understnad what the others saw. Given that, he does ask me to make quilts as gifts for some of his clients. And he is willing to sit with me in my room while I sew. So, I guess it's all good
