Wahoo, DH took my Davis VF open today and discovered the problem (more gunk) cleaned it again, oiled and now that old lady hums like a teenager and sews a wonderful even stitch. I'm a happy camper now. Have my 3 treadles set up in a U formation in my MM room and can use them all. I'm gonna get to piecing on them first thing next week.
Woo Hoo!! These old machines just keep on keepin on. But gunk is their worst enemy. Glad yours is doing good for you now.
