I would. Make a simple one. I made a lap quilt for a dear friend who was starting chemo. He's tall, so I made it long enough to go from under his chin and folded under his feet. Did a strip quilt & backed it with fleece. He was thrilled.
My church ministers to residents of our local Wilbur D. Mills rehab center. It's been my experience that even the least little thing is appreciated.
I would, however, make sure her name is on it in more than one place.
I've found that my friends from the center need/love lots of hugs and a quilt is a good beginning.
