Play with your stitch regulator - if it is like mine it is located on the inside of the head. Mine did the same thing and I just played with that stitch regulator until it started working perfect! Also, make sure your needle is a Davis needle, Boye #10, and inserted correctly - flat side to the needle bar (right), and threaded left to right.
