I have just finished An Amish Christmas by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, Barbara Cameron and Kelly Long. Four short novellas with happy endings. Try it. Also the Jan Karon novels are very homey, non violent and will make you smile. You surely will find that one of the Mitford characters will remind you of someone you know. I know just how you feel. I had surgery this summer and was in rehab and had brought along two books to read. Both of them turned out to be gloomy and semi violent. Couldn't really wrap my mind around either. Went to the rehab libray and found something light which lightened my mood. Think Spring....`
