I completely forgot one of the quilts that was on my to-do list for the year. I promised a friend over the summer that I would fix (redo) a baby quilt for her 6 year old that has fallen apart. The mom volunteered to purchase the fabric, which I let her do, and she wants to help cut and press. She doesn't quilt herself, but she understands the process of hand made arts and really appreciates that I would want to help her.
I told her after I finished quilting my Gramma's quilt, I would fix the baby quilt. I think only one or 2 of the nine patch blocks are salvageable...but she knows it won't be done in one day with help or without. I'm glad it's only 9 patches so I don't have to try to recreate anything more complicated.
