There is way of sewing curved seams you may want to try. You take one side and iron the seam in place. Then use Elmer's school glue in small dots on the matching seam allowance and place the pressed seam on top in correct position. You can let dry or iron it dry. When you go to the underside, you can then sew down the seam in the crease you ironed in without it moving.
