Sue..I cut the binding 2 1/4" wide then folded it over. Remember I marked it and cut it on a continuous roll to be continuous bias binding. Yes, you will be looking at the back of the quilt as you sew. Sew it slowly and stop right at the pin that you used to mark the "pivot" point at the bottom of the dip.
